On Saturday, June 29, 2024, employees of Sun King took to the streets of Uyo, equipped with gloves and cleaning tools, to tackle waste and pollution in public areas. The cleanup efforts focused on the Nyong Essien roundabout and surrounding areas along Nwaniba and Oron roads, where participants collected trash and promoted recycling to improve the city's cleanliness and environmental health.

Mr. Nelson Nelson Sr., Area Business Manager of Sun King in Uyo emphasised the company's commitment to making a positive impact beyond the energy sector. "At Sun King, we believe that our responsibility extends beyond providing clean energy. We are dedicated to contributing to the well-being of the communities we serve. This sanitation exercise is just one of the many ways we aim to support and uplift our immediate environment," he stated.
